If I stop the harddrive and start it (without stop the router) ,the partition of the routeur are not seen

Hello

I've really no idea about this problem

=> method 1
a) the router Asus wl 500gp is on
b) I unplug the harddrive from the routeur (the hd is off)
c) I start the harddrive
d) I connect the hd to the routeur
e) the hd works fine ( I check with fdisk -l )
ok with this method, but I've to unplug and plug the hardrive

=> method 2
a) the router Asus wl 500gp is on
b) I stop the harddrive (without unplug it)
c) I start the harddrive again
d) I plug it
=> the hardrive is not seen (with fdisk -l)

I've OpenWRT WhiteRussian 0.9 (Linux OpenWrt 2.4.30)

Somebody could help me please ?

How could I force the usb harddrive detection after an off/on cycle ... or should I try kamikaze 7.09 with 2.6 kernel, but a full reintallation is needed
