So I can't seem to remove the broadcom mini-PCI card from my WL-500gP board, and closer inspection revealed a black plastic thing glued to the board and card. I took some pictures...

Let me know if any of you had this problem or what I can do to fix it as I just bought an Atheros 5212A card I wanted to swap in.

Thanks,
Dave

Okay, so it turns out it's a "sponge" -- at least that's what the board says. I'll take photos and write up about it on the wiki soon.

It's just there to prevent shock/vibration from affecting the card.  It's probably got adhesive on both sides and nothing more. smile
