https://dev.openwrt.org doesn't work too. Is there any other way to get newest patches and Makefiles?

There is something wrong with wiki. Tried to visit http://wiki.openwrt.org/yoonix and got 404 error. This page hosted rare tool for recovering routers with SPI flash over JTAG and I found google cache of this page. However page is gone and I found no other places in the whole world where to get this utility (called tjtagspi).

I also tried to visit redirected wiki but it looks like there is no such page at all.

Did the server upgrade somehow make the forum more susceptible to spammers?  They're posting like mad here lately...

wtf? http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots still missing, while still standard path for openwrt/trunk package download in opkg.conf.

Worst thing is the lack of information, eg whether someone takes care about those server "upgrade" failures sad

Much of what was available to opkg under "snapshots" is available at http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/8 … /packages/

Is this a permanent situation?

Also, the kmod packages there are for 2.6.26.6, but, at least as of r14647, "uname -a" gives us 2.6.28.7.  What is the status for getting these updated?

You just discovered the difference between the 8.09 packages (for 8.09 branch) which are still there (as you noted) and the snapshot packages (for trunk), which are no longer there.

But the kmod packages for 2.6.26.6 don't match up with the k8.09 built kernel of 2.6.28.7. so some things don't work when you try to install them.  It's unfortunate that some kind of change list was not provided with the new release.  If it's available, I haven't found it.  And the build opkg setup still points you to "snapshots".

The discussion might have continued from here.
