enjoy wink

gs1

I tried to install this on my Ubiquiti Nanostation 2 Loco from Backtrack 4.0.

As I recall (this was a few weeks ago), the flashing script just didn't do anything.

Would it be possible to just get a binary image for the AR23xx platform that I can manually TFTP to the router?

hi goatroper,

I just uploaded to github the ubnt2-pico2.bin file that was generated when I built the firmware posted earlier in this thread
you can grab it here:

https://github.com/downloads/guinness1/ … r-2011.tgz

I have not tested the binary file on any devices, as I have no Ubiquiti gear.  all my work was done on om1p devices donated to me to assist a mesh project.  if the Ubiquiti device you are using has a single lan/wired port, AR23xx wifi and ~32MB (probably less could work), the configurations in the firmware should be good - disclaimer: just guessing of course wink

my devices work with the flash program and have no tftpd running on boot.  if your devices operate with a tftp server only, that is probably why the flash app was nonresponsive... more guessing here...

I would be curious to see if it works on Nanostation 2.  would be great to have some feedback wink

note:  the ubnt2-pico2.bin is the only 'binary' file generated from my build setup.

These are all the Atheros files generated (without listing the packages/ipk files):

openwrt-atheros-rootfs.tar.gz
openwrt-atheros-ubnt2-pico2-squashfs.bin
openwrt-atheros-combined.jffs2-128k.img
openwrt-atheros-root.jffs2-128k
openwrt-atheros-vmlinux.elf
openwrt-atheros-combined.jffs2-64k.img
openwrt-atheros-root.jffs2-64k
openwrt-atheros-vmlinux.gz
openwrt-atheros-combined.squashfs.img
openwrt-atheros-root.squashfs
openwrt-atheros-vmlinux.lzma

I can upload them if anyone is interested...

cheers,

gs1

So with this now BackTrack will recognize the Nanostation 2 Loco not as eth0 but as wlan0?

Excuse me if i am wrong.
