Topic: Similar to the Nexx WT3020H

The content of this topic has been archived on 29 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Does anyone know of a sub $20.00 dual Ethernet port device with similar specs to the Nexx WT3020H?
Also need something where Openwrt takes advantage of network hardware so that when I run a speed test (for example) from the device, I can get the full, correct throughput.

Need something that is supported in the Image Builder method which is how I get my builds.

Thanks kindly for ANY leads you can offer me!

I don't know, they all look the same after a while.
All I need is something sub $20.00, dual port Ethernet (could live with 1 if needed), 8Mb Flash, 64MB Ram and must be supported by current Image Builder since it's all I know.

It looks like the Gl.iNet 6416A router's I was using. The problem with those was cost, over $25.00 on average.

Depends on your needs, you may wanna get this PogoPlug Pro01 (under $13 + Free S/H to a US address). It is based on a proprietary ARM-based SoCs developed by Oxford Semi with 128/128 MB FLASH/RAM, 1 SATA port, 4 USB2 ports, a PCIe AzureWave AW-NE762H WiFi card, and a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port. It is supported by OpenWRT (trunk version).

For my needs, my PogoPlug Pro02 is currently running on a self-built OpenWRT from trunk and serves my needs as a NAS (with an external 2.5" 2 TB SATA HDD), a digital PBX System (using FreeSWITCH) to serve my IP Phones and my Android smartphones, a 10/100 Mbps Wired (using this USBNet dongle -- an AX88772B chipset) router for my 10/100 Mbps IP Phones, and a WiFi router.

If you don't mind dealing with a rebate, perhaps this ASUS RP-N53 Dual-Band Wireless-N600 Range Extender $14.99 (after a $30.00 rebate card + FREE S/H) may be your choice. The only problem is it is probably not supported by OpenWRT.

Lots of good leads, thanks! I didn't get any emails about these posts.

In essence, I'm really just looking for a Linux device which runs Debian or some other common Linux os. I don't use any of the router functions of openwrt so it seems a bit wrong for me to keep trying to find things that work with openwrt.

I believe you can subscribe to your post. This way, the forum software will inform you through an e-mail if there is a new update.

Yes, you're correct and yes, I am subscribed but for some reason, some don't come in. It's probably something at my end.

The discussion might have continued from here.
