I've been trying to set my router up as a bridge to my neighbor's network for about a week now. I've followed the documentation precisely. The mode is set to wet. I set the essid and channel. There's no encryption. I'm able to pick up the router while scanning. However, I can't connect from my computer with everything set up. It won't pick up an address via DHCP and won't ping anything but the router if I use a static IP. I've tried disabling the firewall too. My router is a WRT54GS with White Russian and the other router is a WRT54G with stock firmware. I've ran out of ideas.

Alright, I've tried routing mode now. I still can't ping anything on the remote network. I'm using a static address. How good signal strength do I need to establish a connection? It's showing up in iwlist pretty consistently.
The discussion might have continued from here.
