Hi,

I have my Netgear WGT634U in Client Mode and am having some strange network problems.

A ping from the WGT634U to the Access Point(Aironet 1200) is very consistent at 2.6ms.  But a ping to my laptop(Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG) looks like this:

PING 192.168.0.1 (192.168.0.1): 56 data bytes

64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=19 ttl=128 time=180.0 ms

My laptop can ping the WGT634U with a consistent 8ms.

But every few minutes for a few minutes there are no pings from or to my laptop.
I quickly connect the serial cable and then send a single ping to the existing ap and the suddenly my laptop can ping the WGT634U again.

Forced B or G mode makes no difference and no interference/weak signal problems are present.
I also tried many different configs of wireless and network files.  No difference.
I didn't try to set the enc to WEP from WPA-PSK because...

I just found the solution while writing this:
I changed the settings on the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG adapter, from Default to Highest(max perf) and it works.
I could see the changes in real time and tested many times.  Very strange, glad I fixed it, but the solution might help someone.

Sorry about the edit, but I just confirmed the same problem on another laptop this time with an Intel 2200BG wireless card.  It was the exact same setting.
This is getting stranger by the minute.

Can anybody reproduce this problem?
