Topic: WGT634U only comes halfway up

Netgear WGT634U running Kamikaze r7972
openwrt-wgt634u-2.6-squashfs.bin (built Jul 13)

I'm seeing behavior which looks like the one reported to in Bug #1741 - it boots, the console logs look normal, nothing complains... but the network's not configured.  Several daemons are running, waiting for the network - telnetd, dnsmasq and others - but "ifconfig" shows no IP setup on WAN or LAN.  (This is a brand-new setup, so wifi0 is disabled).

If I go to the console, I can run "ifup -a", I then get a "br-lan" interface which I didn't have before, and the WAN port (eth0.1) runs udhcpc and gets an address, just like it's supposed to.  But still nothing on the LAN (eth0.1).

Am I missing something?  I'd be glad to share any logs I can - what would you like to see?

It's a bug that affects many different machines and apparently both the trunk and stable versions.

See the commentary on bug tracker ticket #2085

Thanks - it's good to know that it's not just me!

The last comment there (#2085 comment 7) has me a bit curious, though: "its related to the madwifi in 7.07" - I haven't even enabled wifi in this system! Oh, well, perhaps something in madwifi is getting in the way of setting up the wired-Ethernet ports.

Anyway, thanks again, and I'll keep an eye on that one.

The same here. No network interfaces configured. Soekris net4801 (X86 [2.6]) target with revision 8010.

Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Seems fixed in [8023].
