Just a rough idea...
Could we include the performance figures (e.g. upstream and downstream speed / with and without firewall / speed when acting as VPN endpoints...) in the TableOfHardware?

That will require every router to be benchmarked. As such, forget it.
Most routers are based on a reference design anyways.
- If the data is not available (yet), then leave it blank.
- Think so. But how do us know if a certain model is not using a reference design, and has above average performance?
