Topic: issue with bind-9.4.1 on kamikaze 7.07

The content of this topic has been archived on 31 Mar 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I'm running Kamikaze 7.07 on an Asus WL-500gP (kernel 2.4). This morning I did an ipkg update && ipkg upgrade which updated my bind-server and bind-tools to version 9.4.1 from 9.3.2 (I think it was previously). Now, when trying to run it, I get "can't load library 'liblwres.so.30'". If I try running any of the bind-tools I get the same message for libbind9.so.30 and libisccfg.so.30. How can I solve this issue? (revert to the old version or get these libs on my box. Or maybe a rebuild in the repository with static linking to these libraries.)

From what I could se by playing around a bit more, none of the dependencies for the new bind packages are resolved by ipkg anymore. To whom should I report this issue to? as I cannot find any information regarding who's maintaing the repository.

anyone?

I eventually found the old v9.3.2 packages on the web and reverted to those. Thanks to everyone here for their invaluable help.

I use Kamikaze 7.09 and have the same problem.
