How can I get ATM support in kernel 2.4? I've tried "make kernel_menuconfig" and then select the individual options. But it looks like my options are ignored at compile time.

If you compile them as static then you shouldnt have any problems, but if you choose module, then you need to locate the .ko files and either copy them across or create a package and install it.
I don't mind copying by hand the files. The problem is I can't find any .o or .ko file for the modules I need (ATM in my case).
