When I play -for example-

The green light of the soundcard is slowly blinking during the playback, but the only thing that's coming out from the soundcard is an annoing, monotoneous beep as long as the music plays. Ctrl-C stops the playing thus the beep immediately.

If I put the soundcard behind a usb hub it even doesn't give the beep while playing. Complete silence. The usb hub *does* work because my SD card is attached to it and mounts without any problem.

The soundcard installs nicely pnp'ed under XP and seems to work fine.
If I use mpd I can change nicely the volume of my beep

Hi,
I have almost the same setup. Wl700ge + '3D Sound'
I got the same error messages and the same silence.

Reinstalled the box with the 2.6 kernel and it turns out to work fine now.

Also no difference anymore whether the soundcard is attached directly to the router or through an usb hub. Even hot pluggable!

Anybody an idea about the reason for the fact that it didn't work with the 2.4 kernel? I still would like to have wireless in my box without having to buy the atheros.

try use "kmod-alsa" instead "kmod-usb-audio"

Indeed, it's working with 2.4 now! Thanks!
