Topic: ASUS WL500gp + Atheros minipci + kernel 2.6 - witch kamikaze build?

The content of this topic has been archived on 8 Feb 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I need my asus with kernel 2.6 (need option usbserial module). So I've bought atheros minipci (TPLINK WN560G). Witch build should I use for stability - heard that 7.09 and 7.07 have segfault bug? Should I use 7.06 or look for newer kamikaze snapshot (the bug looks to be resolved)? I need working PPPOE too.

You will need to compile OpenWRT yourself based on a current Subversion Revision. The segfault bug is resolved in current revisions.

I've succefully done that for my setup: WL500gp + Atheros Wifi + Kernel 2.6

Thanks,
Is there any approximated time for the next release?

I have the same setup and the current Kamikaze 7.07 Broadcom47xx2.6 image works very well. The Broadcom2.6 image already has Madwifi installed so your Atheros card will work no problem.

is there an already built image with stable working 2.6 kernel + madwifi support for atheros ?
