Hello,

I just do not get it.

I have several RUNNING Asus WL-500g Premiums. I want to update them to Kamikaze.

So I hold down the reset button while plugging them to power. The Power LED starts blinking, fine.

But then I can not contact the Asus via 192.168.1.1...

When plug it back online with the normal configuration everything works fine.

So the task is, how can I install another Image on the ASUS?

It is not bricked, it works fine. "Just" the 192.168.1.1 IP does not seem to work in failsafe mode?

any idea?

thanks

s.

sorry for pushing, but.. anyone?

OpenWrt's failsafe mode and the ASUS diag mode are two complete different things. Since WR uses NVRAM you may have changed the lan_ipaddr NVRAM variable and the diag mode uses the IP address configured in lan_ipaddr.

Well I managed to upload the image even if no address were attributed to me. I just run tge asus utility and it worked.
