Topic: NVRAM setting not taking on WL-700gE

The content of this topic has been archived on 22 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

After a "power-off restart" my WL-700gE boots into the flash image and not the hd image.

It seems that the NVRAM setting stays at the original setting even after changing it to

   nvram set boot_dev=/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1
   nvram commit

Is there a way to change the NVRAM setting and to make sure that they
survive a full power off ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi - I get the same problem as you describe it seems as thought the boot_dev NVRAM setting does not survive a power off.  Did you get any clues as to what s causing this and how to resolve it?  I'm concerned about power out whilst I'm remote from my box and not being able to get it back up again without physically connecting.

Cheers,

Ian
