Trying to use kernel nfs server with 7.09.
root@router:~# /etc/init.d/portmap start
Segmentation fault
Did anybody encounter this problem? Interesting that it worked find in 7.08

Yes. The 'file' command reports that the portmap binary is corrupted.

I use the kernel-nfs-server with kamikaze 7.09 and get no segfaults of portmap. but I´m running kernelversion 2.6 on a wgt634u
I removed the 7.09 portmap 0.6 and installed the portmap 0.5beta from 7.07 and that is working for me.
I have the same problem on my NSLU2, even when I compile my own image with portmap included.
I managed to get it working though, by removing the -pie link option in the portmap Makefile. Not the perfect solution I guess, but at least I can start portmap (and nfs-server) now.
