on the latest kamikaze snapshot that ships with the new madwifi-ng-dfs code, is there a way to switch off the dfs functionality?

I found the following here

IEEE80211_PARAM_DFS_TESTMODE = 70, /* do not perform DFS actions (i.e. markng DFS and channel change on interference), just report them via debug. */

but I am not sure if the following command does the trick.

iwpriv ath0 dfstestmode 1

the command to disable 802.11h (DFS/TPC) functionality is:

iwpriv athx doth 0

I managed to lose couple of outdor long distance 802.11a wifi link by just upgrading the one only (AP) side of the link. These link used to work well for many months.  I have not test as yet if the above command solves this issue. Some reference for the possible causes of this behavior may be the following:

Hi,

I´m not interested in disabling DFS. I live Austria (Europe), and so I need to use the 802.11h implementation if i want to send with more than 100mW on 5GHz without legal problems.

So I´m especially interested in DFS and Radardetection. Are they usable, for a semi-productive environment?
It seems like it is under massive development so I just want to know if it´s usable right now?

And what about TPC? I mean it´s not that important because I can still send with 500mW without it. (and I´m not sure if I will use it at all, because with it the transmitpower is between 250mW an 1W, and I guess it´s easier to get a stable link with 500mW, than with maybe 1W or maybe only 250mW)

Hello All,

Please update me whether DFS works on both AP and STA in openwrt??
Also in openwrt are we able to run DFS in both Auto Channel as well as in Fixed Channel???

Thanks in Advance,
