Topic: Status of KAMIKAZE on wl-hdd

The content of this topic has been archived on 24 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I have one wl-hdd with white russians, all my other devices are kamikaze 2.6 (asus+atheros) or 2.4 (wrt54g). I would like to know if it's secure to upgrade to kamikaze (2.4 for broadcom) .
I don't have a serial console, so I cannot make much experiments.

I have seen posts about problems for 2.6, but I don't know if they are solved now, and If they apply to 2.4.

Also is it better  to compile the last svn or use 7.09?

I have Kamikaze 7.09 (2.4) on my wl-hdd and it works perfect. I use it as ftp and web server and it is up 27/7. I don't use wi-fi so I disabled it (but it should work with 2.4 kernel or 2.6 svn with new drivers). I think it's better to use svn (2.4 if you need wi-fi).
