Topic: Forcing different speed sync

My OpenWrt router syncs at 13 Mbit (I have 24 Mbit DSL) but that leads to low SNR at different times. Can I force it to sync at, say 8 Mbit so I have a low noise margin at all times?

It's a modem problem for me. What is your router model ?

D-Link DSL-504T... I can't see any dropped packets so I don't know if that's it, but my ping is abysmal (ping to my ISP's server is 300-400 ms) and that's what they suggested, so I want to try it and see. Any ideas?

Okay I think you use embedded wan modem so I can't help you more ! perhaps openwrt doesn't support fully wan part of that router ...

No, it works fine, I just want to limit the connection speed (e.g. set the protocol to plain ADSL or whatnot)...
