Hi Guys

Just curious, is there currently development for the OpenWRT for WRT54G version 3?

If so, does anyone know how far along the project is?
or know someone to talk to about it?

Thanks.

Ben Luck

WRT54G should work without any problems. Just use our current experimental version...

Hi,

Does the Ping.asp bug still exist on V3 models? I can only find v3.03.6  on ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/ for V3 models, and that is the version my wrt is running.

I have not been able to set the boot_wait param as per the instructions on the wiki. Some pointers here would greatly be appreciated smile

Thanks!

Good to hear for the version 3 unit. smile  yay....

Does the Ping exploit to get to the console still work for version 3?

Or is there another way to the console (without  hacking a serial connection onto the board?)

Thanks for your help. smile

I can't get the Ping hack to work.  I just got a wrt54g v3 today, and I just get "Invalid IP address or host name" from the Ping.asp page, and Invalid password when I try to tftp it.

So I don't know.  It's not working here.

Thank you! I have managed to set boot_wait with the above moentioned firmware. No onto openwrt smile

Downgrade to 3.01.3.

I applied it to my v3 even though it says v2 in the filename and there were no errors.

I used this file:
ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/WRT54 … S_code.zip

WHOO! Thanks!

That worked for me too with a brand new v3 router originally loaded with 3.03.6

I've got the same errors while trying the Ping exploit.
The reason were misconfigured network settings on the WRT54G.

The OpenWRT version experimental 3.03.2 works fine on my WRT54G v3.

Yes Sir: it working for Version 3

but hardest thing is set boot_flag on
I use Hyperwrt, EWRT to do that
