Topic: Flash new firmware without TFTP

The content of this topic has been archived on 20 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hello,

does anybody know if and how it is possible to flash a new firmware (e.g. squashfs) without using the reboot and TFTP method?

It would be so much more convenient as I have two routers connected via openswan and I don't want to always drive to the remote location.

(And I want to get rid of the necessity of reconfiguring my box to the 192.168.0.x default ip to make the flash possible)

Thanks for any info...

mtd -r write file.trx linux

(It's documented somewhere on the wiki)
