Topic: Problems with non-standard WEP key index

Hi,

I'm connecting to a wireless network which uses WEP and key index 2. My Windows laptop can connect fine, but it has to
specify the key as key index 2, or it will not work. Specifically, using the correct key as key index 1 won't work.
I'm not able to connect my openwrt in client-mode. I found the following ticket:
https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/2211 which indicates that openwrt have problems with setting the key index correctly.
Is the problem on my side, or is this problem still present in openwrt?

Thanks

Rule #1... if you want security... WEP is not your friend.

as for which key to use...  more than likely you told your AP to use key #2... hence the reason you cant connect unless you use key #2.

As for the random article you posted... notice the version?  kamikaze 7.07?  kinda out-dated... I'm pretty sure it's been fixed.
