Please help!!!
How can i reset root password, if i forgot it?
(Router: wrt54gl, whiterussian 0.9)

please tell me how can i reset my wrt54gl v1.1 white russian rc5 to the default.
i use XP.
please somebody have mercy. and give a little light to the poor ignorant

You don't need Linux OS. You need Putty client, for example, in your WinXP.
You must Boot your WRT54GL into failsafe mode(http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Hardware/Linksys/WRT54GL#head-e6119119e65d0eeac4a827a78a6a31420a6b4c41)  and connect to router by putty on 23 port. To change pass, type in command prompt  passwd. Then reboot your router and login on 22(SSH) or 80(WEB) ports with new password.
