I am using an Asus wl500w router, and after i read the wiki page about it, I made my own image and flash it onto the hardware.
everything goes on well ecxept the webif part.
I found that i can not get on to any page in the cgi-bin directory, it is a 404 error.
i can get the pics under the image directory.

then i checked, i found that i havn't got the haserl part, so i downloaded one ,and cross compiled it, it is not yet done, but i wonder if there's anything else wrong with my work so far?
or is there anything that i haven't noticed about webif?

do you mean that you compiled the image from the svn ? and included webif as explained here : http://wiki.x-wrt.org/index.php/Compile … _Webif%5E2

I never tried this possibility and I found it more easy to install xwrt on kamikaze as explained here http://wiki.x-wrt.org/index.php/Kamikaz … t_Kamikaze

You should ask on the xwrt forum wink

Tex

yes, i did so.
I will try the second way today, hope everything goes on well
