I still have serious Wifi problems with my asus router. Using trunk r9770 (later versions segfaults or gives random errors)
Anyone experiencing this ? does 2.4 work better ?

Asus wl500gP + atheros (AR5006XS) is what i'm using.
Still nobody that feels like helping me out ?
Try using Kamikaze 7.06 : is the only one that has worked flawlessly out of the box for me with this configuration (wl-500gp + GN-WI01HT/AR5006XS)
why did you replace the default wifi card?
Because we can :-). No, seriously, there could be many reasons to do that. One could be because the original broadcom mini-pci range sucks (later has been discovered that there was a manufacturing problem in those routers manufactured before September 2007). Other could be that even with a full working broadcom card, atheros are better (in my experience) and could offer you additional bands (in my case the one I'm using is a/b/g). Also, if you want to use a 2.6 kernel and you want wifi, broadcom is not yet an option. Choose yours ;-)
what like manufacturing problem?
They used a 62 kOhm instead of a 62 Ohm resistor at position R17 in the mini-pci card resulting in a working but poor performing wifi. More info:

Thanks. I'll take a loot at 7.06 when i have the time are you using 2.4 or 2.6 kernel ?
