Topic: Who can build a SVN kamikaze 2.6 for me?

The content of this topic has been archived on 3 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hi all,

I'm using Whiterussian for a long time now and want to switch to Kamikaze.

My Router is a ASUS WL-500GP. I will change the wifi card to an atheros card.

As there is no actual build which covers the random segfault-issue, I need to build it myself. (See http://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=13724 and http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Har … s/WL500GP)
BUT: That's the problem. I'm not a linux-guru neighter have I a functional linux environment to build it by myself.

I'd really appreciate if someone could build an actual system for me and send it to ### (adress removed)
(I would need a system eighter with included atheros drivers (madwifi) or without, no matter :-)

Thank you!!!

Best regards,
zanthos

You can install Linux inside a Virtual Machine. E.g. use the free VMware Player.

Dear Zanthos

In many ways the best thing you can do is to start playing around with the build-system - which again requires that you have a functional Linux system (either as a stand-alone or virtual system, as suggested by forum2008). It should not be a major problem for you to install a dual-boot setup, if you can insert a MiniPCI card then you can also install one of the major Linux distributions.

But, I'm at the moment working on a 'small book' on how to use the OpenWrt buildsystem and you might as well help me with some feedback on the present alpha version. Send me an email and I'll forward you a copy, and in return you tell me if it works.
