I would like to ask how many MB of RAM and flash do I need if I would like to have a router with OpenWrt and:
- web server
- php
- custom written program in C (small program for exchanging packets with a microchip over the ethernet)

Is 16 MB of RAM and 4 MB of flash enough? Or should I buy a router with 32 MB of RAM and 8 MB of flash memory?

I have an Asus WL-500gp with 32 MB Ram- key thing is it is has  USB ports.  I have set up a swap on a thumb-drive and have Apache with PHP as an apache module.

I'm running Asterisk/Apache+php/xmail  on it.

I have submitted a patch to have Apache/apr compiled with module support and php5 compiled as an apache module. (Available on request).

I'm having a few issues with stability.  Am going to recompile/reflash and see if things improve.
