Topic: Wireless 11n on WRT150N

Hello,

In first I would like to excuse me for my bad english, I speak french :-)

I flashed yesterday my wrt150N (v1.1) with the openwrt Kamikaze 7.09. After one day of configuration this is working with the wireless too smile But I can only use Wireless 802.11g and not 802.11n.

I have search about that but find nothing, just a post (on the 2007-02) saying that kamikaze will support 802.11n on wrt150n soon.

Actually I use the package "kmod-brcm-wl-mimo" to activate the wireless. Must I install another package that will unlock the 802.11n on this router ?

Thanks in advance if anybody has an idea.

Have a good day ^^

Finally I just want to know if anybody use wireless 11n with kamikaze 7.09, is it supported ? Does anybody know when kamikaze will support that if not (next release, when ?)

Thanks smile

this is a madwifi related question ...

Thanks for you answer. I have hear about madwifi but don't think that was the solution... I will do more researchs about that.

is there already support for 11n ? openwrt uses the propretary driver from linksys right ? so it should be supported but i doesn't work i tried. This Errors appears

Command 'set rxant' failed: -1
Command 'set channel' failed: -1

I'd like to 2nd this question!

I just bought Linksys wrt150n on eBay, because I saw it on the compatibility list. Kamikaze 8.09.1 is installed and working, but with g speeds, not n.

Is there anything else extra that needs to be installed/configured in order to get 802.11n working?

Thank you!

AFAIK, N speeds are not working or only partially implemented in Madwifi, which this router depends on for it's wireless. You should consult the Madwifi page and research what wifi chipset this router uses to find it's compatibility. But perhaps I am behind on  Madwifi developments....

The discussion might have continued from here.
