Hi

I have just install an image made from svn trunk 11610 (2.6). I have had to do some fiddling to get eth1 working (patches to b44.c).

Everything seems to be working fine, except ! wireless.

I have installed b43 and it found the device, but will not enable it. It seems like the firmware will not enable it because its a 802.11n devices.

b43-phy0: Broadcom 4321 WLAN found
b43-phy0 debug: Found PHY: Analog 5, Type 4, Revision 1
b43-phy0 debug: Found Radio: Manuf 0x17F, Version 0x2055, Revision 4
b43-phy0 debug: DebugFS (CONFIG_DEBUG_FS) not enabled in kernel config
phy0: Selected rate control algorithm 'pid'
Broadcom 43xx driver loaded [ Features: NLR, Firmware-ID: FW13 ]

input: b43-phy0 as /devices/virtual/input/input0
b43-phy0: Loading firmware version 410.2160 (2007-05-26 15:32:10)
b43-phy0 ERROR: IEEE 802.11n devices are not supported, yet.
b43-phy0 debug: Chip initialized
b43-phy0 debug: 64-bit DMA initialized
Registered led device: b43-phy0::radio
b43-phy0 debug: Wireless interface started
b43-phy0 debug: Adding Interface type 2
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready
b43-phy0: Radio hardware status changed to DISABLED

(writing this I notice the firmware version is a bit old ?).

Any  one know how to get the wireless working in just 802.11 b/g - I presume I should be able to do that or do I just need a newer firmware and if so where or how can I get it?

Alex

EDIT
I have tried my old asus 500Gp minipci wireless card and it did not work either maybe I am missing something ????

I have gone back to a space atheros card I had lying around its a ar5213A  and it seems to be working, thanks to atheros smile

when I get a chance I will look at the broadcom again see if I can get either working
