Topic: Hint for a wifi router

The content of this topic has been archived on 1 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hi all, I'm going to buy a router with the following minimum requirements:
- 8mb flash
- 16mb ram
- 4 port switch

Of course I want to run OpenWrt on it so my current best candidates are:
Asus WL-500g Premium v1 or v2
Asus WL-500W
Linksys WRT350N v1

Which between the above platforms actually has the best support for openwrt (trunk or kamikaze)?
Opinions from who already runs openwrt on such models (or similar models that I'm missing) are wellcome!
Thanks

I'd buy none of them. I'd recommend a PC Engines Alix board with a Madwifi compatible MiniPCI wireless card and a external switch.
