Topic: How to Compile Binary Driver?

The content of this topic has been archived on 20 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I have a Sparklan 199 802.11n mini-pci card and would like to use it in my WL500gP (currently using a CM9). Sparklan only provides the source for a binary driver (ath_dev.ko, wlan.ko, etc. files). Is it possible to build this driver when I compile the Kamikaze trunk?

Thanks in advance for the help,

Rob

As I remember, the application has been built to a binary must be used for the target cpu only, isn't it?
Could you found its marked text as "designed for mipsel" or "mipsel capacity"?

Thanks doggie,

I was afraid of that. The readme.txt says "IXP425BD(big endian)." Thanks for the help.

The discussion might have continued from here.
