Any news about ntfs support in the 7.09 or in the upcomming 8.08? Haven't found ntfs-3g package in the repository.

did anyone can confirm that using ntfs-3g must be on a locale supported kernel/platform?

Yes, ntfs-3g supports fully function of ntfs writing and reading, expect the encrypted file or directory.
but I was failed with locale support which was test on almost lastest kamikaze 2.6
