Hello,

I have search in large sites on the web, but no result.

I have this pb with my LinkSys. After a failsafe boot et launching the command /sbin/mount_root my rooter reboot recursively.

I plug power with no Ethernet cable , result of led :
- 0 sec : power blink
             DMZ : off
             WLAN : off
port 1,2,3,4,Internet  : flash two times quickly

- 1 sec : power blink
              all other : off

and recursively at 20 sec : power blink
             DMZ : off
             WLAN : off
             port 1,2,3,4,Internet  : flash

When i plug Ethernet cable and i try "ping -t 192.168.1.1"  => i have recursively response response during 2 seconds, after host unreachable and hardware pb.

I have already try 30/30/30, but no result .

Is it possible to save my lovely linksys ?... I use it since 5 years ago sad

Thank's every body

It's ok

I follow explaination from this site (in French) : http://petaramesh.org/post/2006/02/10/5 … -un-wrt54g

download firmware from linksys support site : http://www.linksys.com For my router it's "WRT54G_4.20.8_ETSI_code.bin"

I'm in windows XP.

Setup network card to 10Mbps half duplex with TCP/IP 192.168.1.2/255.255.255.0

open two CMD line windows

the firts with  "ping -t 192.168.1.1" command , the second ready to start with "tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT WRT54G_4.20.8_ETSI_code.bin"

When the router response to ping, lauch the tftp command and wait big_smile

router restart with linksys firmware.

It's great hardware this router.

I will re-install openwrt quickly.

Bye
