Hi guys,

I 've to upload new firmware to ASUS WL-500g wireless router. In future, I've to try to run debian system on it. I want to know which firmware is suitable for me either SquashFS or Jffs2. I am also trying to get the details of both types, but a little concrete comparison of both type accoring to my requirnment will be aprreciatable.

Thanks in advance.

Reading the wiki sometimes helps :

http://openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Installing

and read the paragraph called squashfs vs jffs2

Finally, remember that squashfs potentially and usually allows more free space to install software.
