Topic: Asus wl-500w, Ubiquiti SR71-A w/ OpenWRT?

The content of this topic has been archived on 19 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I just purchased an Asus WL-500W (almost identical to the Asus WL-500gP, but with 3 antennas and different radio).

I'd like to replace the stock wireless mini-pci with an Atheros based Ubiquiti SR71-A (802.11a/b/g/n), does OpenWRT work with this Ubiquiti card yet?

My long-term goal (and hopefully OpenWRT development will head this way) is to have an Atheros based 802.11a/b/g/n (w/ MIMO) running OpenWRT on an Asus WL-500W (nice hardware)

Sincerely,
Mr. Lister

P.S.  Newegg has a deal going on right now with the Asus WL-500W ($20 mail-in rebate good through Oct 5, 2008)

Sounds like a great idea. Have you found an answer to your question yet?

Any news on this topic? SR71-A is a sweet card... smile
