no luck with Sagem Fast 2404 (f@st2404) .. doesn't find block device  sad (tried both snapshots and svn from trunk )...

  first sorry for poor english ;-)
I use openwrt for bmc63xx board, flash image via CFE and web both work, but after board restart in serial console show me ..

You need upgrade your run time image through CFE TFTP or CFE web......

I talk about CFE starting address and CFE (boot loader) size the both 0.

Hello, guys. Im newbie to wonderful world of OpenWRT, but I must say - thanks! Its very nice to see how it works.

Now, some success story - after checking out bleeding edge r18445 Kamikaze I built it, and guess so - it doesnt work, cause board "D-4P-W" is absent from board_63xx.c file (though I saw snapshots with filename like that, but they didnt work for me). So, with little patching by outlines of post #58, OpenWRT successifully started on my hardware (D-Link DSL 2640U HW ver B2). Now time for some config and testing. DSL dont work, of course.

After a lot of compile and test i found the problem, after flash the router with openwrt-RTA1025W_16-squashfs-btrta-cfe.bin the last script who run it's  /sbin/firstboot when disable this script router work, if this script /sbin/firstboot run after reboot router don't start.Hints ?

Hi i also have a tp-link 8840.
While 2mb of flash isn't much, if it is enough to have dropbear + basic config + ppp (pppoe/pppoa) that would be fine.

I would prefer not to stay on the outdated kernel tplink provides or suffer from a few minor software glitches (random rebooting at times).

It is a 96338L-2M-8M, with  Bootloader (CFE) Version:      1.0.37-6.5.

Is 2mb really too "small" ? ......

megalomania, maybe you should read the wiki: /sbin/firstboot  ... i hope it's helpful.

d-b,  2M is  smal.. but you could build some firmware, yes..

I've got myself a BCM6348 asus wl-600g at my disposal. I want to spend a bit of time working on this and bringing more info/better software to this platform.

How can I help making openwrt better on this device?

Is it possible to bring the binary ADSL drivers over to the openwrt image? How would I go about doing this?

wpa-supplicant isn't working yet, should I attempt to simply cross compile the existing source?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

I have a broadcom 6348 based device with two usb 1.1 port: one host and one slave. Is there any way to "convert" the slave port into master port because I don't want to use an usb hub and Broadcom says the slave port is configurable.

the USB host port on the 6348 is certainly configurable, but not to act as a device (as opposed to host) port.

Hi, I've met a strange issue for my brcm6358 router--RG-100A. It's a special version from china telecom.
as the DSL driver is missing, I've to use the vlan to split a port for wan.
And for the rest 3 port, when I use ssh to connect the router, it works fine. BUT, when I do scp/ftp to the router, it fails. I've checked from google and it said there is a issue for the switch. Is there any patch for this?
My openwrt version is r18957.

by the way, how to apply a patch for the trunk code? There is no bin file suitable for my router as it uses a 16MB flash.
I've found a patch from a chinese forum.

Has anyone ran OpenWrt on Linksys WAG325N or WAG320N ?

Hi All, I just meet some strange things.
My route is a brcm6358VW2 based route with CFE version 3.10.
When I flash it with the trunk version 19374, it just works fine. but when i try to use VLAN to allow wan and lan, it gets issues. For lan, scp will get failure, for wan, pppoe get failure
Then i finally find that when i decrease the MTU for lan from 1500 to 1490, scp works fine, and 1450 for wan, then pppoe works perfect.

As i nerver find any post about this issue, i'm not sure it is a bug or just some standard for VLAN usage.
