Topic: What router with USB Master 2.0 could i use ?

Hi All,

i'm looking for a router, easily available, wich can compatible with openwrt, and including a USB 2.0 master port.

I have checked with Dlink, netgear and linksys. They purposed only 2 models (like WGPS606) but they are listed as supported device on openwrt Wiki. I know that Asus has purposed a model, but it's only USB 1 port and it's very hard to buy it in Paris (no body purposed it).

Does anyone have an idea about wich hardware I can use ?

Thanx for help,

Stephane

PC Engines ALIX.2C2

Hi Yanira,

thanx for your answer, but apparently the Alix.2c2 is not a wifi router.

Do you have another idea :-( ?

Steph

hi All,

Thanx for your help... So no hardware totally ready are availabl :-(..

Such a pity, I'm not sur I can start to build my own hardware... I was looking for a linksys or Netgear like device...

Thanx again sad

Stephan

The WRTSL54GS has a USB2.0 port, and now runs wifi OK, with OpenWrt 8.09. I don't know whether it's still available for purchase.

Most recent SOCs have USB Host hardware on chip. The extra components required are very few and very cheap.I dont understand why manufacturers choose to disable the interface.
It seems that price competition is so hard that even 2$ or 3$ more is a luxury.... :-(

That's why I pay a bit more and don't care for the other manufaters anymore. With my Alix I can do what I like to smile
