Hi,

i search nearly two hours for a solution but didn't get anything. Here is my problem:

I have a Motorola cable modem and a Fonera 2100 with kamikaze. I want to access the internet connection by wifi, that means that the Fonera's lan port is connected to the cable modem.
What settings regarding network and wireless config do i have to make. I am very used to openwrt and linux, but that is completely new to me.

btw: i tried "Use LAN as WAN port (with NAT)" with no success.

Well, you have to configure wireless and put the LAN port into a WAN and get the IP from the cable modem via DHCP.

can you please give me a sample configuration for this? I can see in your signature that you have a similar situation.

I tried many different configurations but ended most times in having to reflash the fonera because i couldn't connect anymore.

that's what failsafe mode is for

that's difficult because i don't have a reset button (modified fonera for mp3 playback). Looks like i have to buy a new router since it seems to be a problem where nobody is able to assist ...

Or connect a serial console smile

i switched to dd-wrt. works perfekt out of the box...
