Topic: Make menuconfig not working properly

The content of this topic has been archived on 30 Mar 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

For some reason the menu generated by make menuconfig does not allow me to select menu's (by hitting enter)  The cursor returns to the top item in the list.  I can use enter to go to help and exit, just not select.  Is there any way to rectify this problem?

I am building on an ubuntu linux vmware system.  I used this guide (http://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=78923) to download trunk and compile it.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying, but [space] is how you select an entry.

Used space as well (basically mashed the keyboard after a while).  Redownloaded and recompiled still having problems.

Maybe I wasn't specific, every option did not respond to user input except the Help and exit at the bottom.  Can not get into submenus, or select options.

There is an error that occurs on make menu config, but I'm pretty sure it would only affect that part of the menu (not the entire thing)

tmp/.config-package.in:5540:warning: 'select' used by config symbol 'PACKAGE_collectd-mod-sensors' refer to undefined symbol 'PACKAGE_libsensors'
