Topic: how can i set my wan?

The content of this topic has been archived on 30 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

i just installed openwrt on my dir-300 and it seems to work well...

but i can't find where i can set wan on Luci.

is there anyone who let me know how to set wan?

Actually, i know almost nothing about linux...

(i just used dd-wrt, and i just changed it to openwrt to use vpn...)

(i tried it with x-wrt, but i can't find "wan" setting part on webif, either.)

Hi.

The current release and trunk of openwrt do not support the switch in the dir-300, therfore you see no wan interface to configure.
To get support for the programmable switch in the dir-300 you have to apply some patches yourself, see:

And the DIR-300 goes unstable on high traffic...

even with 8.09? :'(

(and do i have to build openwrt to apply that patch?)

Does anyone have a binary version of a patched kamikaze for the dlink dir-300?

Hi.

Yes, here: http://dev.luci.freifunk-halle.net/frei … s/atheros/

It's intended for OLSR meshing but can be used as normal firmware as well - just don't enable the strange stuff wink

Edit: hostapd isn't included, so you have to install it with opkg.
