Topic: owfs hangs on 8.09

The content of this topic has been archived on 28 Mar 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

owfs seems to work fine (start up) but then when I try to list the mounted directory (/tmp/1wire) it just hangs. Anyone have this problem? Ideas?

p.s. I tried sshfs also not working .I'm on brcm47xx Atheros card (wl500g premium with TP-LINK). I'm thinking fuse problem? (2.6 kernel)

Sorry still doesn't work.

owfs -u -F --foreground /tmp/1wire
DEFAULT: Opened USB DS9490 adapter at 001/006.
DEFAULT: Set DS9490 001/006 unique id to 81 49 09 27 00 00 00 4C

Then open a separate window type:

ls /tmp/1wire

just hangs. I will try sshfs right now.

you can also update to most recent version 2.7p21 by editing
feeds/packages/utils/owfs/Makefile

change the version number and comment out the md5sum ... this compiles fine as brcm-2.4 and brcm47xx .. didn't try it, because don't hava a clue what I should do with it wink

Thanks actually owfs works now. I used local version

Thanks. Just to  clarify though I didn't update my version of owfs. What I did was compile ipkg locally with trunk and install from local version as opposed to snapshots which somehow is different.

Sorry for confusion. I can try latest version tonight too.

Ok so new version seems to work just fine too fyi.
