Topic: RB532 kamikaze 8.09 install issues

Hi all !

I'm trying to flash a rb532 with openwrt.
I tried with a flash card and with netboot but in both cases I am not able to configure the network.
The rb do not get any dhcp and ifconfig, iwconfig, /etc/init.d/network restart, udhcpc restart do not work.
I tried with an image found on the site and with my own compile.
I tried to rewrite the /etc/config/network.
Nothing works...

Has someone experienced the same issues ? Could someone send me a working netboot image ?

Thanks in advance !

I am having problems too.  I'm getting a Kernel Bug Detected.

anyone else have this issue?

Same here...i get the same error and the board hangs when i try to configure the networ interfaces...

I am also having this issue.  There is a bug filed in trac here:

https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/4952

But the instructions from the developer don't make any sense.

This has been fixed in the svn version of 8.09.  I am not sure what the policy is for rebuilding images on the download site, but here is a post I wrote on how I got it working:

https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/4952#comment:4

It has been working fine for me for a few hours now, and I have pushed multiple gigabytes of data through it.

Alternatively, without the svn patches, disabling the ability in busybox for ifconfig to report statistics got rid of the kernel bug problem, but then you can't ifconfig -a or ifconfig eth0, and that is a pain in the ass.

OK everything works fine since I compiled with this svn !

Thanks a lot !

I'm getting an error regarding gpio_dev.c when I'm trying to compile.

Did anyone else get this?

Does anyone want to post the compiled image for us to download?

Error:

No rule to make target `drivers/char/gpio_dev.c
