Topic: Help! where is my firewall file?

The content of this topic has been archived on 17 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I've installed BusyBox v1.11.2, Kamikaze r13088. Now the routing does not work properly. I now realize that it probably because the firewall daemon is missing.

I cannot find the file: /etc/init.d/firewall. It is missing! No wonder why NAT does not work.

root@OpenWrt:/etc/init.d# ls
avahi-daemon  dropbear      luci_fixtime  rcS           watchdog
boot          fstab         luci_hosts    sysctl
cron          httpd         miniupnpd     telnet
dnsmasq       led           network       umount
done          luci_ethers   openvpn       usb
root@OpenWrt:/etc/init.d#

Do you know where can I find the firewall file? Also the command 'ipkg' does not work:(

Any help or hint is great appreciated. Thank you very much!

Can somebody please post the /etc/init.d/firewall file here please, or send me. PLEASE! Or tell me how to download. I tried to download the source code of busybox, but cannot find the firewall script.

well, you can get it from /rom/etc/init.d if you deleted it.

thanks for your reply. What I installed is a special version of OpenWrt. the /etc/init.d/firewall file is missing. Anyway, I manage to find one copy of this file. Now, my next step is to configure the firewall.
