Topic: Read-only file system

It was a 1-2 years ago when i flashed my Linksys WAP54G to OpenWRT. After this there are error. I don't need this router for this time, so i don't fix the problem. Now i need this router again and I need to fix this problem.
Problem: when I go  to 192.168.1.245 and click on pages, the system wants, that i insrert password(there wasn't password yet). When i insert password and clock on button called Set, then in next page comes this text:

Changing password for root
Enter the new password (minimum of 5, maximum of 8 characters)
Please use a combination of upper and lower case letters and numbers.
Enter new password:
Bad password: too simple.

Warning: weak password (continuing).
Re-enter new password:
passwd: An error occurred updating the password file.

I was searching in internet, but i found only one topic about this problem and this didn't helped me. So is here anybody, who knows what isthe problem and will help me. Hopefully someone can take step-by-step tutorial, how to fix the problem or at least says, is there any way to put my router normally work(e.g. upgrading some way back to wap54g firmware), because i'm dummy with openWRT.

WR is dead!!

WRT54G have option, that you make short circuit for a second with pin 15 and 16, it should delete memory or sth.
Is here any way to make same thing with WAP54G?
