Hi Folks

I flashed my WNR854T with this one: http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/openw … pgrade.img

It seams that when i try to flashing it back to the org. firmware it fails.

Tried:
"wget http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/wnr854t_1_2_15ww.img"
"mtd -r write wnr854t_1_2_15ww.img linux"

AND

TFTP method

ip 192.168.1.1 on PC / 10 mbit full duplex mode

"ping -t -w 10 192.168.1.1" in 1 window and

Any other idea how i can flash it back to wnr854t_1_2_15ww.img?

Thanks!

PS running Windows 7 64 bit

I just wanted to bump this message as I have the same question too.  I took a look at the wiki and docs, and could not find out how to do this as when I try to do this via X-Wrt, I get a message stating something to the effect that the web update feature has not been implemented.

BUMP! I'm really pissed that I loaded up OpenWrt onto my WNR854t. I can't get it to revert back to the netgear firmware. I thought the netgear firmware was horrible until I tried this crap.

I tried this OpenWRT on my WNR854T and now I can't access the web interface! The internet and connected ports show up as orange also!

Help! I've never done this before!

Okay, so I got the original firmware back on the device, and flashed the wrong mtd and bricked the router...

Bah, I bought the WNDR3700 to replace it, I'm not bothering with the JTAG crap. Using the WNR3500 as a replacement for the moment.

Here's what finally worked for me:  the openwrt squashfs based firmwares use a different partition formatting. I installed a jffs2 based firmware (see http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/openw … ble/orion/ ) first, then tftp'd a factory firmware and it took.

Good luck

How did you manage to tftp? I cannot do so without boot_wait set on the WNR854T
Also, what method did you use to flash the jffs2 based firmware... sysupgrade is not working for me (says:

Invalid image type 8519.
Image check 'platform_check_image' failed.
