Topic: Kamikaze being built with no network config file?

The content of this topic has been archived on 4 Mar 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hi, I am compiling the latest kamikaze for brcm-2.4 and everything seems to work OK except that when the firmware is loaded it has no network interfaces up / ip address. I have entered a valid IP in the image configuration.

Pressing the button on boot brings up the failsafe with 192.168.1.1, and when I connect with telnet there doesnt seem to be a /etc/config/network file! there is also none in the staging_dir/include/etc/config ?

Any ideas why this might be happening?

---  solution:  don't disable too many busybox apps in the hope of saving space, the firstboot script needs several of them like find, xargs, awk. --

yikes
