Topic: automatically connecting to available networks

The content of this topic has been archived on 6 May 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I'm working on a mobile setup.

I'd like to set up an AP to continuously scan for available networks, and automatically connect to an available network.  It if succeeds I want to send an email.  That's it. It has to be automated; no user intervention required.

I'm not interested in WEP/WPA cracking, or anything like that.  I just want to send a simple email once a day.

I found aphunter which claims to scan and connect, but alas it's very old and doesn't work very well.

Anyone have a script that scans for available open networks, then connects?

Thanks,

SHWEET!

As soon as my new kamikaze build finishes, I'll try it on an Asus 500G Premium v1.  Any hints on where to look to modify for a broadcomm chip?
