Topic: how do i find my TEW-231BRP hardware specs and chipset?

The content of this topic has been archived on 30 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I Want to install OpenWrt on my TEW-231BRP V1 wireless B router. I don't know if it is supported; i saw that there was a TEW-211BRP fully supported.

I just opened the router took me a while...

I took pictures of the inside since there is no info on the internet about this specific router.

I hope these images help.

I'm not sure if its chip set is a ra-link or a as rock. As for memory size the trend net site claims it has 8mb flash memory and 8mb ram.

this link has all the information i could find about the router.

This link has all the info on the RTL8181 Chip
http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/prod … p;ProdID=3

If someone could point me in the direction it would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to google the other chips but i didn't find any results.
Dose anyone know what these chips are?

thanks a lot guy!... I'm being sarcastic was it so hard for one of you regular people to tell me "realtek chipsets are not supported by open wrt and will likely not be supported ever" no you guys made me sit here feeling ignored while i searched around for days. thanks alot just ignor me and maybe ill give up and leave.

The discussion might have continued from here.
