Hi,

I want to install qos-scripts on my wrt54gl but there is no space left. I wonder which of the following packages are safe to remove. I use encrypted wifi, normal LAN, and probably nothing special.

libgcc - 3.4.6-10 -
liblzo - 2.02-1 -
libncurses - 5.6-1 -
libopenssl - 0.9.8e-1 -
libpcap - 0.9.4-1 -
mtd - 5 -
nas - 4.80.53.0-1 -
ntpclient - 2003_194-4 -
nvram - 1 -
ppp - 2.4.3-8 -
ppp-mod-pppoe - 2.4.3-8 -
uclibc - 0.9.28-10 -
uclibcxx - 0.2.2-1 -
wireless-tools - 29-1 -
wlc - 4.80.53.0-1 -
zlib - 1.2.3-4 -

Do you need the ppp* packages for your Internet connection?

I dont know, i have 'normal' cable internet and i have a modem from the cable company. How do i find out if i need it?

Then you normally don't need the ppp* packages. Most cable-modems are doing plain DHCP.

But if you remove the packages via opkg you will not get more free space. For this you have to build a custom image by yourself...

You can also remove libncurse, libpcap, libopenssl, liblzo
They are used by some softwares such as openvpn, asterisk, tcpdump but I guess you don't use them if you listed those packages
