Hello,

everytime when i reset my wrt54gs v. 1.1 to default settings in the webinterface of open wrt, i can't ping the router afterwards.
If i config my network card to 192.168.1.10/255.255.255.0 gw: 192.168.1.1, i don't get a ping.
If i config the network card to dhcp, i get an 169..... ip.
The Router doesn't work till i tjag it.
I must erase the nvram and the kernel then i get the ping back and can upload the image via tftp.

Why can i not ping the router after i make a reset?

If i config my network card to 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0...

You used the same IP your router uses with default settings, configure something like 192.168.1.2 on your nic.

sorry, i have forgotten the "0".
My Computer's Network Adresse is 192.168.1.10.
I read about the fault of the wrt54gs family. Some people write, that the cfe from the wrt54gs must be customize eg. boot_wait on and something at the memory unit.
I have edited my cfe now with an hex editor, i will respond today if it works.
